Happy Mar10 Day!
Happy Mar10 Day, everyone! For those who don’t know, Mar10 day is an annual day when we celebrate Mario and his friends. Mar10 is a fun play on the date of March 10. This Mar10 is bigger than ever because we are less than a month from the highly anticipated film, The Super Mario Bros. Movie. To celebrate, I thought I briefly talk about one of my favorite Mario memories.
The first Mario game I played was Super Mario Sunshine, which I recently learned, is one of Mario’s least popular. The game was released in 2002 on the Gamecube, but I didn’t play the game until a couple of years later. Despite this being a memory, I don’t remember much. Still, I do remember not coming close to beating the game, but I enjoyed playing as Mario, FLUDD, and Isle Delfino, and since then, I have become a Mario fan. While many others might not like it, it was the game that introduced me to Mario and will always have a special place in my heart. That’s why I was most excited for Sunshine when Nintendo announced Super Mario 3D Allstars in 2020. I have since played other Mario games such as Super Mario 64, Galaxy, Odyssey, and the classic Mario Kart.
Regardless of how you celebrate today, honor our favorite plumber, his brother Luigi, and his friends. Mar10 is also about the friends (and enemies) that have accompanied Mario throughout the years, so make sure you give them a shout-out. Happy Mar10!
