5 Simple Privacy Tips: Part 2

A couple of weeks ago, I posted on my privacy newsletter five simple tips to take back your privacy. I thought I would share five more here on my blog. Here they are:
1.) Create strong passwords - Do NOT use one password for all accounts! Create strong passwords using a password generator and store them in an end-to-end encrypted password managers such as Bitwarden or Proton Pass.
2.) Enable two-factor authentication - Use 2FAS, Ente Auth, or Yubikey to add security to your account and prevent unauthorized access.
3.) Remove unused apps and browser extensions - If you don't use the app or browser extension anymore, then just remove it. Even if you leave it inactive, it can still collect information on you and affect your security. Simply delete it.
4.) Change privacy settings on accounts - Update your privacy settings on your accounts to your liking. Make sure you check them now and then to make sure nothing has changed.
5.) Update software - Staying up to date with software will enhance security and reduce the risk of anyone taking advantage of vulnerabilities.
